Nancy Lardner
Nancy Lardner holds a bachelor of arts degree with high honors from Denison University, Granville, Ohio. She opened The Music Studio in 1981.

Betty Anne Schlegel
Betty Anne Schlegel
Since 1990, Betty Anne Schlegel has been teaching beginners through advanced at the studio. She specializes in classical, church music and music theory. She has a piano performance degree from Meredith College under James Clyburn, and a Masters in Church Music, studying piano with Maurice Hinson. She is an experienced vocal and choral accompanist, has taught in the St. Johns County Center for the Arts, and currently leads music at The Church at Vilano.

Nancy Peterson
Nancy Peterson has been teaching piano in St. Augustine many years after studying music at Carson-Newman College. She teaches piano to beginners through advanced students and loves classical, jazz, Spanish, and church music. She has been a church musician in St. Augustine most of her life, serving the longest at Anastasia Baptist Church as a pianist and choral accompanist. Ms. Peterson has been at The Music Studio since 2007.

Jimmy Silvia
Jimmy Silvia
Jimmy Silvia is a St. Augustine native and teaches guitar at The Music Studio, from beginners to advanced students. He studied guitar with Lyster Bass in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating from Dekalb College. In Athens, Georgia, he studied guitar with John Sutherland, a renowned educator, who was a student of Andrés Segovia, Christopher Parkening and other fine guitarists. Mr. Silvia teaches many styles of guitar including classical, flamenco, flat and fingerpicking, bluegrass, jazz, rock and contemporary Christian. He also teaches ukulele, banjo, cello and saxophone. He has played lead guitar at Anastasia Baptist Church since 2002, and has performed in a variety of bands.

Regina Torres
Regina Torres
A Jacksonville native, mezzo-soprano Regina Torres began her vocal studies at the University of Florida and finished her graduate work at the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her vocal instruction incorporates breathing technique with performance practice in both classical and musical theatre styles. Ms. Torres is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Her personal website is
